Cool Hunting Video: Magician Doug McKenzie from Cool Hunting on Vimeo.

For the second video from our Lincoln Hello Again Series, we spent several days with an enchanting man. Doug McKenzie (who has produced magic for the likes of David Blaine) is one of the world’s premiere close-up magic artists. But Doug’s interest in the illusion goes far beyond typical street magic; he has made it his mission to incorporate new technologies into his work, making a seemingly mundane cellphone the key to a mind-blowing performance. We went out on the streets of New York City with McKenzie to watch him surprise and delight passers-by, and we learned quite a bit about where magic comes from in the process.

"Pillar of fire" Australia- at actual speed from chris tangey on Vimeo.

NB: Wild footage at actual speed of the Fire tornado event recorded on September 11 2012 near Mt. Conner Australia (details below) © Chris Tangey 2012

DETAILS: When this “fire tornado” event was recorded, Cameraman Chris Tangey used both 1080i normal speed and 720P slow motion, changing between them several times over that 40 minute period. This means that until now many shots previously seen on television or online were at 2.5 times slower than they actually were on the day. For the very first time a series of wild clips are precisely corrected back to actual, or as-it-happened, speed. The furious flickering of the, at times, 35 metre (110 foot) tower of fire and wind is now evident and explains Tangeys’ quote: “I have never seen anything so big, move so fast, in my life”

Driveway Decision Maker – Making of from BOSSA on Vimeo.

Blurring the lines between digital and reality. For the launch of the new Hyundai Elantra models, Bossa teamed up with Innocean LA to create the Driveway Decision Maker experience. To help users choose the right Elantra for them, we created a journey where you can pick one of the new models and watch it drive to your house.
